Indramat Rexroth is the producer of some of the most popular servo drives and servomotors in the industry. Keeping them functioning and in top shape ensures there are no faults and the drive is communicating properly with the motor, which is important for concise, repeated tasks in industries such as:
- Machinery
- Robotics
- Automated manufacturing
Clearing the piece of equipment from faults means the control circuit can precisely regulate movement and speed of the motor, an especially important factor for devices such as elevators and any practice with high pressure or temperature. What follows is a transcription of our Indramat Rexroth Eco Drive & TVM test stand video, which can be found on our YouTube channel along with other test stand demonstration videos.
Our engineer Behzad, introduces the test stand that functions as a tester for both the Eco Drive and TVM series. The stand has a power supply and drive unit that’s separated for Eco and TVM so both can be tested on the same stand with two different motors. Behzad turns on the Eco drive, checking for faults in the power supply and the drive itself. Next, Behzad turns on the forward command switch and increases the speed of the servomotor in a forward rotation. Next, he switches to backward command, testing the motor in the other direction. Everything looks good, so it’s on to the TVM series. Forward and backward commands are tested for the TVM series, with both directions working perfectly. No faults are recorded, which means everything checks out and this drive is ready to be sent back to the customer!
